For Emily (a peek at the retreat quarters)

I do get a nice room to myself,
with a nice balcony,
for the evening.

And we are working hard--
thank goodness we have nice squashy couches
to sit on while we work!

So why was I driving up the canyon,
through increasingly snowy roads?

Here's my destination:

The scenic locale is meant to sugar the pill of faculty meetings.
Many faculty meetings, all day long.
But I do get the evening off-- and that's why I get to post these pictures!
