Though the light was wrong for optimal landscape pictures,
I did get a good expression and pose from my parents in this setting.

Opportunities gained and lost

I love this mountain.
And with the blossoming trees in the foreground, it made a terrific scene.
However, the midday light was flat.
(Fine for photographing backlit tulips,
not so good for mountains.)
Alas, we could not stay until good evening light.
I was battling a headache and so I didn't go out again in the evening.
As if to mock me, from my window I saw perfect alpenglow on Timp,
when I was lying down battling my migraine.
Ah well! One can't get every photo opp in the world!

Enchanted April

This evening the light was perfect,
and as I drove past the fruit orchards,
I couldn't resist stopping to photograph my favorite mountain.
There were half a dozen other photographers outside,
and lots of people taking evening walks,
and sitting on their porches.
It was just a glorious evening to be alive.

Though the weekend weather was not very pleasant,
the evening light on the mountains was really lovely.
This is more of Camera A's zoom capability!

Timpanogos

November is not my favorite month.
Too grey and dull.
And it can be cold.
But when the weather is mild and the snow hits the mountains,
it can still be beautiful.
These views of Timp are from Heber Valley and Deer Creek Reservoir area.
I love that mountain!

Ah, Utah!

Monday morning, very early, we hiked Timpooneke Trail.
It was gorgeous to watch the light come up on the mountains.

Our group stopped at the Shelf (2 miles up) to take a breather and decide who was going on, who was staying.

I elected not to try to make the summit this year, and to stay with Kathleen and our Junior Hikers.

I think Mt. Timpanogos is the most beautiful mountain anywhere!

Glorious Timp

Even with Evil Noisy Construction blocking much of my former view, I can still see THIS outside my window!


I am very lucky to live on the Wasatch Front.
